If you’ve been looking for a way to build an online business or learn some marketing skills, you might have come across Legendary Marketer. A very common question a lot of people have, when they do some background check, however, is: “is Legendary Marketer a Pyramid Scheme?“
In this post, we’ll go over what a pyramid scheme is, so you can make sure not to fall victim of one. and why Legendary Marketer does not fit that category.
So Is Legendary Marketer A Pyramid Scheme?
So first off, Legendary Marketer is an online training course, community and platform, that teaches its customers the fundamentals on how to build an online business in one of a set of 4 business models, that allow for both uncapped income potential and also location freedom.
And the answer to the question “Is Legendary Marketer a pyramid scheme?” is quite simply:

No, Legendary Marketer is not a pyramid scheme.
But of course, it wouldn’t be the best idea to just leave it at that, without going into what exactly a pyramid scheme is. Plus, with all the scams and actual pyramid schemes, actually going around… I think it’s worth it to know the difference between what is compliant and what is not…if that makes any sense. ?
What Is A Pyramid Scheme?
A quick wiki search, for the term pyramid scheme, returns the following (I’m paraphrasing here):
A pyramid scheme is a business model that rarely involves the actual sale of products or services, but actually revolves around recruiting people into the model in exchange for the promise of some sort of payment.
So it’s basically a model whose only income stream, is focused around recruitment, without any sort of exchange of value…aside from the fact that it “costs” money, to be a part of it.
So if there is no value attached to the program, if there is no product or service that is offered in exchange…that’s the first red flag that you’re dealing with a pyramid scheme.
Of course, that is not the only thing to keep in mind! Here is a little list of other things to consider:
✅ Are there actual products involved? In pyramid scheme models, there are no products.
✅ Are you paid on sales alone? In pyramid schemes, you can get paid on affiliate signups (AKA recruiting)
✅ Do products have an actual market value? Value is a bit relative. Legendary Marketer products are expensive, but they’re also high quality. It all depends however. You might find them to be better or worse than others.
✅ Check the website policies for a return policy! Solid businesses have a return polices, schemes do not.
If you want to know some other factors that eliminate Legendary Marketer from being considered a pyramid scheme, here is a great video that goes a bit more into the details. ?
I 100% agree with Todd on what he said at the end of the video there.
Legendary Marketer really has gone the distance when it comes to being compliant.
Back in 2018, things were a lot different. Legendary Marketer, really looked more like an MLM, in which people who had bought products, were selling the products to other people…who wanted to make money…but had to buy the product…to sell the products.
Yikes. ?
And if i recall correctly (i might be wrong because i personally was just starting out online back then and i don’t remember) i think you could sign up to be an affiliate for free back then, which means basically anyone could come in an promote the product.

And people would do it…left and right.
However, in 2019, Legendary Marketer decided to:
- Restructure their whole program, and offer multiple blueprints in other business models, outside of affiliate marketing
- Put an evaluation filter on all upcoming affiliates, and only accept a few that met a specific criteria (hello there!)
This way they became compliant, and it didn’t become all about promoting the training, which it kinda used to be in the past.
Conclusion
That would be it folks! Hope you enjoyed this article, and hope it gave you some insights as to what a pyramid scheme actually is, so that you can make sure not to fall victim for one in the future. Capiche?
